Being Thankful

Skepticon, the regional midwestern conference on skepticism, recently held its fourth iteration in Springfield, Missouri, home of the General Council of the Assemblies of God, the largest Pentecostal Christian denomination.

Alix Jules and his family, as well as several other Texans, attended Skepticon this year on behalf of the Fellowship of Freethought in Dallas, and the Dallas-Fort Worth Coalition of Reason. Given the conference’s proximity to the Thanksgiving holiday, Alix asked the attendees to answer the question: “What are you thankful for?”

I am truly thankful that there are others in the world who believe as I do – even in Texas.

What a wonderful video! I really enjoyed watching it, and I’m thankful to those who participated in it, and those who did the work to make it.
